· Develop and maintain immersion placement database as required

Sep 2004 - May 2005: UNITED NATIONS’ SERIOUS CRIMES UNIT (DEFENCE LAWYERS’ UNIT)
Interpreter, Translator and Cultural Adviser
Duties:
· Employed by the UN SCU for its investigation of possible Crimes Against Humanity by pro-Jakarta paramilitary militia prior to and then after the UN-supervised act of self-determination in November 1999;
· interpreter and translator for the investigation and collection of standardised data and evidence for the Defence Lawyers’ Unit;
· Liaised with Timorese families charged with Crimes Against Humanity to advised them that UN lawyers were about to enter their home to interview them;
· cultural adviser to the Defence Lawyers’ Unit on all the cultural protocols to be observed when conducting these interviews;
· assisted in the translation of all the documents for the Defence Lawyers’ Unit; and
· for this work, the UN lawyers’ and I traveled by helicopter or jeep to every region of East Timor continuously over eight months.

2002: ALIANCE PLANNING AND CONSULTANCY (APAC) HEALTH SYSTEMS / AUSAID
Interpreter and Translator
Duties:
· Acted as an interpreter, translator and cultural adviser to the AUSAID- sponsored Ambulance Procurement and Distribution Project.
· Assisted in the translation of all the Government health policies for the ambulance system in East Timor.
· Facilitated community input into the ambulance service structure.
· Designed the Ambulance Logo for the ambulance system in East Timor.

· Acted as a cultural adviser and taught East Timorese songs for a musical theatre production “Mavis Goes to Timor”
